Introduction to COLORFUL IPC Business

Dear IPC Partners,

For certain industrial applications, NVIDIA GeForce-based cards are more powerful and cost-effective than specialized NVIDIA IPC chipset cards such as Quadro cards (except for specific scenarios requiring software tailored to NVIDIA Quadro, such as CAD). We are currently the only manufacturer among the leading GPU card manufacturers that produces graphics cards with GeForce chipsets according to IPC requirements.


Design, Materials, Production

Our graphics cards for the IPC sector with GeForce chipsets are not comparable to market-standard cards for office PCs, home PCs, and gaming PCs. Design, materials, production, quality management, organization, and service are focused on IPC requirements and fundamentally different from market-standard cards. For example: The design and materials of Colorful IPC graphics cards primarily focus on stability, while market GeForce cards focus more on performance. The components for IPC cards are higher quality and more stable than those used for market-standard cards. Our industrial cards are designed for 24/7 operation, aiming for long-term stability and higher reliability. The cooling system, including the fan, has a special design. The production is carried out separately from the mainstream under different conditions and stricter requirements.


Golden Sample System

For market-standard cards for office PCs, home PCs, and gaming PCs, manufacturers can change suppliers and producers of the built-in IC components at any time to keep costs low. For industrial cards, this is not possible in the interest of high-quality stability. Some industrial devices or medical devices are subject to very strict certification requirements and high costs. In such cases, the IPC cards we supply must be identical to the approved "Golden Sample" throughout the project duration. Our Golden Sample System is the most expensive option but offers maximum security for our industrial customers.


EOL (End-of-Life) Support

Changing the NVIDIA GPU version or reaching the end-of-life (EOL) of a chipset is not a problem for office PCs, home PCs, and gaming PCs. However, not all IPC machines can afford this. IPC customers in such situations require corresponding changes in their software, driver support, new evaluations and certifications, or securing continued availability after EOL of the chipsets. We inform our customers as early as possible about GPU revision changes or EOL, giving our customers more time to make decisions and take appropriate measures. Customers can place a Last Time Order (LTO) or take advantage of our EOL solution to ensure continued availability for at least two years after the chipset's EOL.


Two Options for Your Projects:

  1. Customized (for large projects)
    Our customers can easily select a suitable or very similar card based on our extensive ready-made base designs. Modifications and minor design changes, as well as changes in components, are then made according to customer requirements to meet their needs with minimal costs. Of course, we can also develop a completely new design according to customer requirements.

  2. Standard IPC Cards (for smaller projects)
    For small projects, it is difficult to cover development costs. We have analyzed the needs of project customers in China and Europe and developed standard IPC cards based on these findings. We offer several cards from low-end to high-end. Our standard IPC cards are used in healthcare, automotive, security, HPC, and cloud servers.
